When there are mineral deposits laying in the flow control valve of your dishwasher, the dishes do not come out as clean as they should. The flow control valve is between the water supply and the dishwasher itself. Getting rid of the mineral deposits is an easy project and can be done with simple materials. What You Need - Distilled Vinegar
- Water
- Pliers
Step 1: Mix Vinegar and Water Vinegar is one of the most important staples in your pantry. Not only can you cook with it, but vinegar is also an exceptional cleaning liquid. In order to git rid of the mineral deposits in the flow control valve you will need to mix vinegar with hot water, in a 1:1 ratio. Step 2: Shut Off Water Close the shut off valve that is before the flow control valve. Once that has been done, use the pliers and undo the coupling between the dishwasher and the water supply. With the tube open, pour the vinegar and water solution down the water tube. Connect the tube back to the water supply and let the solution sit for a few hours.
